Fusion100.1 should be called ConFusion 100.1. Won't work. Just saying', but hey what do I know.

Still sounding good. I would tighten up the on air sound. Also drop the country, and modern rock tracks.

Amen to your thoughts Mr. Gower.
...And yes you do know more than you think.
I learn so much from every post you put on here.
It helps me out in a big way, as I try to make my own return to this business.

Not jealous at all. Done enough research in major markets to understand how people use music services. Read up on the "music genome project" if you'd like to inderstand more - It's Pandora. If you're in the mood for "x", then "y" will send you searching, but songs similar to "x" will keep you listening. Maybe Bill Jones in market 151 has discovered the next big thing, but I doubt it. It is more likely that it's just folly. This station will have the worst time spent listening in the market. This will not work. Of course I could be wrong, but I wouldn't invest 1 dollar in this type of format. Just wondering what they will go to in the future (near future).

Neither would I.
This radio station is making me laugh even harder now.
What a joke they are.
Still I make the prediction Q 96.1 and ALEX FM will trounce all over them.

P.S. Should this experiment be a failure, I see them coming back to Selma and reclaiming their old Dixie branding and Country format.

Who knows? Maybe within a week or two we shall see a swap a la Mobile with 97.5 FM and 104.1 FM - have Fusion 100.1 become Fusion 107.9 (which completely covers Montgomery metro, quelling all the complaints which will begin this Saturday night during/after the Alabama-Michigan football game) and allow K-Love to take over 100.1 and serve western Montgomery, and Lowndes and Dallas County with a format perhaps more listenable to their tastes.
Stranger things HAVE happened.

I like the way you think...i had the same thoughts and was going to say the same thing, it would benefit K-love to switch with 107.9 and serve the areas where 104.3 can't reach.

As one of the engineers who installed K-LOVE's equipment....I assure you they're going on 107.9.
In-fact, the switch will happen at 22:00 this Friday.

Yeah, they launch on 107.9, and when the backlash over the lack of radio coverage for alabama games comes in, they get offered to switch with 100.1.. it could happen.
