Which networks might be interested in Savage?
« on: October 10, 2012, 08:26:13 AM »

Savage was on stations across the country with TRN. And now he says he will announce a deal in 2 weeks...

Assuming that he wants a similar type of nation-wide distribution, who are the other radio networks that might be interested in him?

Premiere makes the most sense.  Savage would fit just fine with Glenn, Rush and Sean.  We'll soon find out! Smiley

Premiere sounds attractive except
that Savage was always talking about wanting to go head to head against Rush.

I like Savage, but he doesn't stand a chance against Rush. His show would be as Bill O'Reilly's was.

O'Reilly lasted for several years, but in the end, Rush is still there without a scratch.

Besides, there is no room for Savage on the Premier schedule.

In the New York market, if Savage was back on 710 am, but against Rush, I think he'd do very well.  NY is a Savage market

Well How about San Francisco Savage-Weiner's flagship market from 1994-2009 who will take him KNEW 960AM, KKSF 910AM, or KSFO-560AM again?

Premiere could always dump Andy Dean.

Separately, would Phil Boyce try convincing his current employer to pick up Savage?  I know that several Salem stations have carried it in the past, although I don't know if any still did (i.e., at the time of the court decision).
