105.5 DHA does okay in terms of their signal
107.1 The Peak I can barely get
90.7 WFUV I can get but they barely play any alternative only at certain times.
Any other's I missed?

Yes...the countless options that are on TuneIn Radio, iHeartRadio, or whatever app there is for your smart phone...and yes, you can stream in your car, the iPhone is basically free now, you can get a $5 FM transmitter from Five Below, and forget about terrestrial radio......works for me

Local HD radio is full of alternative rock:
WFUV 90.7 HD3 (simulcast mornings on WNYE 91.5) is full time alternative/Indie
WXRK 92.3 HD2=K-Rock
WWFS 102.7 HD2=Last FM, mainly alternative.
WAXQ 104.3 HD2=The Alternative Project, from IHeartRadio. I believe this is the one that is most similar to WRXP.

XCountry, since you are apparently a big fan of alternative rock, it would seem to make sense to check it out on HD radio, which has plenty of it, rather than starting several threads lamenting the loss of the format.

I agree with d21.  If you don't have it already, get TuneIn Radio.  Works for me with dance music.  It will work for you with Alternative.

Or you could always try Live365.

I have tried HD Radio and it does not work well in my area at all. I felt as if I wasted 50 dollars on garbage. Granted it was a portable device, it didn't work well at all in my car.

WNYE 91.5, from NYC...The Alternate Side.... Monday-Friday 6-AM until Noon

WNTI 91.9, covers much of North and parts of Central Jersey, lots of Alternative in the mix, and a weekly show called "Anything Alternative."

WPSC - 88.7, North Jersey, plays Alternative and local bands, claim their signal reaches 2-million potential listeners

WMSC 90.3, low power, high antenna, five mile radius coverage, from Upper Montclair, tens of thousands get listenable signal, good Alternative programming in the mix

WVPH 90.3 "The Core" in Central Jersey, from Livingston College, a fair amount of alternative in the mix.
