There are contests on their Facebook page and on their Web site, primarily for concert tickets. I see the van out occasionally on its own but usually in tandem with either WAYV or WTTH for things sponsored by Equity in general and not one specific station.  The armed forces parade in AC last summer comes to mind for instance.

Sounds like it needs some local presents.

I'm ready for The Buzz to come back. I just listened to their tophour.com old Legal ID's and it sounded like a good Hip-Hop station. I bet the only thing they're waiting on at this point is the imaging. If they were smart, I would take out all of the dance/pop stuff and pass it to WAYV and focus on the Hip-Hop & R&B only on Buzz.

95.1 WAYV is now calling themselves 'South Jersey's #1 Hit Music Station' when the Dj's break in and talk. Promo's still say Today's Best Music.

It'll be interesting to see if 99.3 actually introduces staff like when it was The Buzz.

I don't think they will go with old imaging because wouldn't they have to track down that voiceover guy and re-sign contracts with him? I'd think they'd rather want to start fresh than use 5 + year-old imaging. At least, that's what I'd do if I was a program director in this case.

The current voiceover guy is the same one that they had from 2002 - 2008

Here's the million dollar question....will they go back simulcasting on 105.5 and resurrect the WGBZ calls?
