WJUF/Inverness dead air this morning
« on: March 01, 2013, 06:48:10 PM »

Anyone know what happend ?
Around 9:05 or so Morning Addition sstopped. there was dead air for about 20 minutes or so. then it sounded like they tried to put the OTA WUFT feed on. that was clear for a lill bit, then lots of  static came over the OTA signal of WJUF. WUFT came back on again for a minute or two then lots of static. then nothign, dead air until 10:04 or so AM. at that point I think the normal programming of WJUF resumed (as in not fed from the anolog signal of WUFT.)
I say that the anolog signal of WUFT was tried, because i heard them talkin about news from gainsville at around 9:30 or so. Doesn't WJUF and WUFT have different news reporting when doing local news?

I haven't noticed the two stations doing separate newscasts,  but I have noticed various
technical problems the last month or so.

On and off the air as well as sometimes deploying HD and sometimes not......as well as sometimes having an HD2 of classical music like parent station; and sometimes when the primary signal of WJUF 90.1 is in HD there is no HD2.
