Login cookies not working

Could the webmaster check the site please and see why the login cookies are not working anymore?

For the last couple of months, I have had to login every time I come to the site even thought I select "Session Length: Forever"

That feature used to work on this site but does not now.  Login cookies are working fine for me on other sites, and I also tried this site in IE, Firefox and Chrome with the same results. I have also tried all 3 browsers on multiple computers and still get the same results.

As you've discovered, not all functions are available to all users.  This is described in our help section.  I assure you that our cookies are working as designed.  The "forever" setting is currently disabled in response to user concerns about unauthorized access of their accounts.  We've found that the current setting has been effective in addressing these concerns.  Until we find board software with the right mix of flexibility and security, the log in time will remain at its default setting.

While you may feel the current setting isn't long enough, most users find it adequate to their needs.  We'll be revisiting this matter in the future.  Feel free to drop me a line with your suggestions.
