WCAP loses lawsuit to former host Ted Panos

This is a bombshell of a news story. Panos was awarded 32 thousand dollars after not being paid for quite some time.

1.) It appears the owner didn't even show for the hearing and did not contest it. What's wrong with this picture?

2.) Will Panos be able to actually collect the award?

Meanwhile, the station signal is terribly weak again especially at night here in Somerville just north of Boston.

It seems that occasionally they tweak the transmitter (or antennae?) and get it working properly, and then it overcomes the nighttime skip from WOFX, Troy, NY, but never for long. Within a few weeks each time, the signal then weakens again until it's barely audible here, and completely eaten up by the WOFX skip at night. That's where it's at again now.

The last part of the article should have been the lede: “WCAP’s tagline is “The Voice of the Valley! Where Everybody Gets It!” Except if you’re Teddy Panos and “it” is a paycheck, or two, or three, or more.”

Also the article said the station is operating on reduced nighttime power, per an FCC filing.
