and demonstrates a lack of ability to contribute anything intelligent to a discussion.
Free speech does not give anyone the right to slander or libel......look it up.

While it may be a bit of an "off" remark, it certainly isn't any more inappropriate or childish than Ms. Briens' normal chatter that she babbles all night.

Her talk of kids smelling like urine, her wetting herself & wetting on other people isn't childish talk? Talk of her dog rolling in feces is not childish? ::)

I guarantee you, if Steve had any caller on the line that spewed forth with nonsense like that he would dump them so fast their head would spin.

Yes, I know...this is not Steve...we didn't realize how good we had it back then. :(
 
I wasn't the strongest admirer of LeVeille, but his style is a cut above Brien's. When she takes certain callers who have a rougher tone of voice, she seems to take the stereotype of the "city accent" and repeats names in a gruff voice. She's pretty strange.
 
I just checked the comments page on BZ. Someone posted a reference to the "Dunning–Kruger effect", which I had to look up because I am unfamiliar with it.

However, it pretty much sums up Jen in a nutshell. So, we understand "her", but I can't understand what is wrong with the person who made the hiring decision. ???

Check out "Dunning–Kruger effect" on wiki, it is a good read and will help us all to understand what makes this strange woman tick.
 
One of the things mentioned here ad nauseam is the number of negative comments on the WBZ website....especially the one by "Franklin" who says Brien's contract won't be renewed. Now you would think that if the comments on the website had any value or credibility that the station management would give them some weight. My thought is that Management looks at it like a nice public relations thing but pays absolutely no attention to it since they know that most of the anonymous contributors have their own agendas. Think about it...how many negative remarks are posted because someone might be a friend or relative of one of the other hosts? The vast majority of listeners don't give a rats ass about the WBZ message board or this board and as hard as it might be for some here to believe are blissfully unaware that either exist. What makes Brien inane and stupid when she discusses Bigfoot and Levielle a consummate professional when he did one of his 5 hour foolishness marathons about chunky or creamy peanut butter or some other nonsense.

Definition of substantial disppointment mentioned in an earlier post seems to mean the handful of people on this board and the comments on the WBZ message board all of which add up next to nothing, As I pointed out anonymous posters with possible self serving agendas don't really carry a lot of credibility. My suggestion to all of you who are ("in the loop", "connected" or "in the know") and are really concerned that Brien is ruining the WBZ image and destroying an Iconic Boston radio brand, get out a pen and paper and send your thoughts and suggestions to Peter Casey at WBZ. That means a lot more than anonymously posting on a message board.

Perhaps if she played the Kazoo or gave "Dog Reports" she would seem more credible. Maybe she could interview the same tired old TV stars like June Foray or maybe the guy that plays Elvis in Vegas or spend hours talking about "The Price is Right" or some trivia game where every answer has the word RED in it.

My God, everyone likes different things ..... and so what if they do. Now someone is asking who she "slept with" to get the job? Comments like that say a lot about the person that makes them. I'm not defending her and I Don't listen often but when I do if I don't care for the subject I just shut the damn thing off. This whole thread has turned into an exercise in foolishness.

The "Buh Bye"...thing sounds kind of like a teenage girl. ..... or someone who put their panties on backwards.

If you don't understand the difference between Steve LeVeille & his "Max reports", or discussing peanut butter for five hrs. vs. Jen's Bigfoot/UFO, poop/urine talk, UH-HUM, and mindless other ramblings - well then, I don't believe there is anyone on this forum that could explain it to you so you would understand.


The folks that don't, those are the ones that you hear on her phone lines most nights. Some folks "get it" & some don't. ::)
 
I guess I just don't appreciate or understand the finer things in life. I'm sure you and others will continue to try and convince me that you're right and I'm wrong. The difference between us is that I'm not trying to convert anyone.......now how about that snail mail to Peter Casey. Go ahead and do it...it will make you feel good. He's the one you need to convince, not me.
 
I don't know about the other posters, but I'm not trying to convert/convince you or any other member. I'm simply expressing my opinion/extreme displease with the current host. Hopefully Peter Casey/ the powers that be will sit up and take notice. Some listeners prefer a higher class of talent, that's all.
 
I fear we are going to be stuck with her...a real shame, I loved Steve's show, but her show is truly terrible. I am in the early 20s demographic...but nothing about feces and her talk of rampant drug use appeals to me at all, nor do her whacky politics. I want a mellow, calm show on the overnights, not her trainwreck. I just find myself listening to the Sports Hub and DA instead.
 
That Woman was late because she said she was caught in traffic, closed Exit 22 ? and Fog.....
I think we know who is in the fog....;-)

Yes, quite regular. It is absolutely disgusting. The outcry on this forum & on BZ's page reflects this as well as her many other disgusting traits. For the life of me I cannot list one redeeming quality with this woman.

This morning we were treated to Miley Cyrus Part II, as if yesterday's show was enough coverage on that. To add insult to injury with Jen's crude attitude - she mentioned this morning that she doesn't care if people like her, her topics or her attitude. She in it for "me" & no one else. Wow, that's what I call a team player, or someone who is out for "the good of the company".

Peter Casey fell for this one hook, line & sinker. I could understand if she was a looker - a guy in P.C. position might be swayed by her charms...but, oh brother...

Don't know what P.C. was thinking on this one, it is one for the record books. Can you imagine if Jen's name gets inscribed on BZ's hall of fame 50 yrs. from now? Although, 50 yrs. from now society will most likely have sunken to such a depth that Jen would be considered "normal".

Lord help us all.
