With internet radio not just being on home computers, but on just about every type of device you can think of, I think AFTRA is finally realizing this is radio's ultimate future and are now working things out with stations rather than taking their ball and staying hime as it were.
If you really think about it, talent was hoping for a big payoff. Once broadcasters figured out how to cover those commercials, the money wasn't there.
