Days of Our Lives Moving to 12Noon in Hartford - Is this changing anywhere else?

NBC 30 the NBC O&O in Hartford just announced on their Facebook Page that starting tomorrow Days of Our Lives and Access Hollywood Live will be flip-flopping with Days moving to 12Noon and Access Hollywood Live moving to 1PM. Are any other NBC stations moving Days of our Lives?

Also as of a couple weeks ago NBC 30 dropped the 3:05AM airing of Jim Cramer's Mad Money, replacing it with a 2nd episode of Steve Harvey. Is Mad Money still on in the overnights?

Are any other NBC stations moving Days of our Lives?

According to Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide, WPMI-TV in the Mobile, Alabama-Pensacola, Florida TV market still has "Days of Our Lives" scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (Central time) for the next two calendar weeks.

Is Mad Money still on in the overnights?

The programming guides from the sites I mentioned above still have "Mad Money" listed for WPMI-TV.

WCAU/Philadelphia at one time aired Days at noon, Passions at 1pm, while WNBC had the soaps starting at 1pm, so Days at noon on the east coast has been done before.

As Jeff Probst has been canceled, I wonder if WCAU will finally clear "Access Hollywood Live" and run it delayed like in Hartford. It's not like people will tune out just because it's not live in the east coast, so it was odd NBC didn't clear it in Philly but was willing to clear Jeff Probst which was low rated and not even produced by NBC.

Next year WCAU will clear the "Meredith Viera Show" though and will need an hour for it. I don't know what it's picking up this year in the early afternoon for this interim year.

DOOL is changing timeslots in several markets. NBC-owned stations in CT/Philly/Dallas are moving it to 12NOON to clear the way for NBC-owned Access Hollywood Live. NBC doesn't own DOOL. Sony and Corday Productions are co-owners of DOOL.

The 1-hour changes isn't too bad for those cities. Folks in Vegas had to switch over to the CW last month when the NBC affiliate decided not to air DOOL so that they could expand their local news operation. Salt Lake City viewers will have to tune it @305AM as the Mormon-owned Bonneville NBC station in SLC decided that the recently featured gay content (Will Horton hooking up with Sonny Kiriakis) was inappropriate for their daytime viewers.

There are probably a few other changes in some other markets, though the remaining NBC-owned stations are leaving the show at 1PM. A few years ago, NBC seemed pretty insistent on getting a 1PM airing nationwide, but now they are leading the way in trying new options. (And giving their own programming primo timeslots).

Arguably, a 12NOON airing won't be a bad thing as many CBS stations air Y+R @11AM and ABC airs GH @1PM. DOOL fits nicely between the two and allows people who actually watch TV as-it-happens to flow from show to show.

I didn't realize NBC fed it before 1 ET. So news moves to 11 am if Days moves to noon?

WCNC is keeping it at 1 it looks like. They don't have much of a reason to move it unless they ditched their noon news or moved it back to 11 am. The midday was on at 11 am for years for an hour until a couple years ago. They currently air Charlotte Today at 11 which was originally at noon when it started. With Gannett due to take over soon I wonder if it will start a "Charlotte and Company" for WCNC. If they did it could replace Charlotte Today. Just speculating.

So at what time does NBC feed "DOOL" to the east coast?

It's been a while since I paid attention, but as of late last year at least, the first airing on the east feed was at 11 AM Eastern, following the fourth hour of Today. However, there is at least one advanced airing (on a separate feed) at something like 4 or 5 AM Eastern, while Early Today is on the main east feed.

[Days in Hartford] Is this on a one-day delay, or is it still "live/in pattern"?

KXAS/5 (DFW NBC O/O) is moving Days to 12 noon from 1pm, expanding their 11am midday news to 1 hour from 30 minutes, and will run an hour of Millionaire at 1pm (previously KXAS ran a single Millionaire at 11:30am after the then-shorter midday news). KDFW/4 (DFW Fox O/O) has the local rights to Access Hollywood Live.

Doubtful as there doesn't seem to any consistency to the local shows like Colorado & Company on the other Gannett stations that I've noticed (Especially since some don't even have a local show like C & C on the air)

Cheers & 73 :)

IIRC, "DOOL" is pre-fed at around 1 AM Mountain Time, and also feeds a couple of other times, too
Stations can pick the "live" feed, or delay it themselves.

.
You are right. for WCAU NBC 10: Days will be airing at noon starting next Monday, Access Hollywood Live will air at 1 PM. I don't know that WCAU will clear Meredith Viera Show because they have the 11 AM news and I don't know if WCAU is willing to drop a midday newscast again.

Although NBC has pushed for years for a 1 PM clock time pattern for "Days,"
it's not too surprising to see some of its stations in the Central time zone airing
it at noon, against "The Chew" on ABC and local news on CBS stations (although
in Dallas, WFAA delays "The Chew" to 11 AM on a day-behind, and KTVT is one
of the few CBS stations in the Central time zone to start "Y&R" at 11:30; if I'm
not mistaken "Days" is still on in San Antonio at 12).

The reason for the split feed for "Y&R" is for Eastern stations to run it after the
noon news (12:30 ET), and the earlier time zones, which follow Central time,
to air it before the noon news (11 AM).

What I'm really noticing, however, is that more and more CBS stations are moving
"Let's Make A Deal" to the morning. I wasn't aware until the other day that KFMB
San Diego has moved it to 9 AM (PT); four in my part of the country will be moving
it to 10 AM within the next two weeks: WBTV Charlotte, WNCT Greenville/New Bern/
Washington, WILM Wilmington, NC, and WLTX Columbia, SC. Also, WHNT Huntsville
has become the second station in Alabama to move it to 9 AM (WIAT Birmingham already
airs it then).

Elsewhere, I suggested that CBS put "LMAD" at 10/9 everywhere and let its affiliates have
3 PM to do their own thing, as ABC and NBC do. My reasoning is that it's a perfect fit with
"The Price Is Right" and does better in the morning markets than in the afternoon ones.

Now back on topic: how many of you think "Days" will make it to its 50th anniversary in
November 2015?
