October Ratings. The Wiz's loss is Old School's gain.

Ratings for September 12 thru October 9

WLW drops from 13.7 to 12.3, despite the Reds' (brief) playoff run.
WGRR flat, but still second.
B105 still third, but down to a 6.4, haven't seen them that low in a while.
WREW jumps to fifth, from a 4.3 to a 5.4. I guess dropping "Rewind" helped?
"Old School" at a 4.0. I guess most of the listeners are sticking around. Which hurts WIZF, which in the last three months has gone from a 5.2, to a 4.0, and now a 3.3.

Both all-sports stations have increased ratings last three periods. WSAI 0.1-0.3-0.4, and WCKY 0.6-1.0-1.4

Fix one problem, make another. That's Radio One. And I bet there's quite a bit of money being spent on getting that movement on 94.9. They're not laying out $35,000 in prize money without some direct marketing behind it.

Well, it's not so bad.

Add up WIZF with their sorry attempt at sports and compare it to WIZF plus the "new" old school.

Overall R O is ahead. More cumulative audience.

Tell that to the Wiz program director. They can combo the stations now but the Wiz is going to take a big hit in rate and advertisers are going to want to see more than a couple months results for Old School. And if the Wiz 6+ is down that much, the 25-54 has to be crippled considering the audience they're targeting with Old School.

I heard Jim Rome doing a commercial on Old School the other day. For a minute, I thought I was listening to CBS Sports Radio. I agree that they are having trouble attracting advertisers to both WIZF and WOSL.
