Shame on the unpatriotic sports hub 98.5 wbz-fm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Itʼs Kaspersky (“kass-PER-skee”)!

Bogus. Maybe they would have preferred Deutschland über alles or the Internationale to the American National Anthem ,hmm.......:
And just because they bought ad time doesn't mean they're bogus. They're actually rather well-respected in the cyber security field. In fact, the most recent edition of their antivirus software won PC Magazine's Editor's Choice title.

Well, they're Russian, so I seriously doubt it would be Deutschlandlied, and they're capitalists with the holding company registered in the U.K., so The Internationale is right out. Besides, they merely bought the ad time. The network is responsible for selling it to them. Perhaps it's that pesky foreigner Sumner Redstone whom you should be investigating.

Foreigner????

Dedham. Boston Latin. Harvard.

World War II ended almost 70 years ago. Why are we still forced to endure that terrible piece of music, bad signers who insist on dragging it out, and terrible lyrics about a war against Canada fought by mistake?

For the record, it's a drinking song. So when they get ready to play it, I go get a beer. And for all those in the religious right, the song was an ode to the pagan gods of Olympus.

"To Anacreon, in Heav'n, where he sat in full Glee,
A few Sons of Harmony sent a petition
That he their Inspirer and Patron would be;
When this answer arriv'd from the Jolly Old Grecian:
"Voice, Fiddle, and Flute,
no longer be mute,
I'll lend you my name and inspire you to boot,
And besides I'll instruct you, like me, to intwine
The Myrtle of Venus with Bacchus's Vine."

Since when is supporting respect for the National Anthem "kvetching...." ?

Since demanding that it be heard before every sportscast became a vital matter of patriotism and loyalty, and since insisting that not airing it before a sportsball game match contest somehow makes a broadcaster disrespectful, disloyal, and clearly a threat to national security. That's when it became kvetching.

"False outrage?!" Why, how DARE you insult his sense of patriotism! You must be one of them there anti-American, flag-burning, country music hating, Obama-loving commie liberals! </sarcasm>

No, actually, that freedom is represented by the fact that it's exercised. The national anthem is played to show loyalty to our country, which most every country does regardless of whether or not that freedom is infringed upon or to what degree. When you start confusing national symbolism for symbols of the individual liberty that you have whether others try to trample it or not, you've lost sight of what's truly important.

You're welcome for the civics lesson.

REVISIONIST civics lesson, that is.
