Ah, that's amusing! You think I'm the very stereotype I joked about! Fortunately for all of us, you're wrong.

It's a stereotype when it comes to me and just about anyone you'll encounter in life. When you learn to discern actual patriotism from flag-waving and slapping a "Support Our Troops" bumper sticker on the tailgate of your F-150, you'll know what you're talking about. Until then, you're just producing carbon dioxide. Don't let the liberals catch you doing that; they'll sic the EPA on ya.
Actually, I prefer the Canadian National Anthem, Au Canada, which you hear anytime the Bruins play a Canadian team . In reality since most Bruins are Canadian Americans they could play it at the Garden and few would mind.... ;-)
Also actually, it's O Canada, both in English and French (you can look it up...) I better keep this short or I might burn my potatoes ugh rotten...![]()
Rather than carry the National Anthem as did CBS -TV 98.5 FM/The Sports Hub/ WBZ-FM went to a commercial for Kersperky Insurance. Both The Sports - Hub and the sponsor showed poor judgement and put the almighty dollar before The American Flag and National Anthem.
Shame on both of them.
Foreigner????
Dedham. Boston Latin. Harvard.
Yes, I know. That was the point in my calling him a foreigner. It was sarcasm. Something neoconservatives seem to have an increasingly difficult time wrapping their brains around... not that they were starting off with much to work with anyway...
That's what they call sarcasm, but it has no nuance at all.Actually, sarcasm they're good at. Sort of a macho version of the "mean girls in school."
They buy enough spots to demand any placement they want. Kersperky Security knew exactly that their spot would dump the National Anthem.
Believe Avenue of The Americas is 3'rd Avenue and lined on each side of the street with American Flags. The sales whores at CBS probably miss that irony.
Think you could walk into a room full of veterans and say that?
Why " O " Canada? "Au" in French means "For" as in "For Canada".
I suppose you can offer proof of this?
No, it's Sixth Avenue. And I'd appreciate an explanation as to why someone who sells time for a living...someone whose work ensures that those who toil in the business take some money home for their efforts...is automatically a whore because they ran a commercial you didn't like.
