Better steer clear of Flatonia, Schulenberg, Weimar, etc., Kev. Them's fightin' words!
I just wish the KAHL folks would take 103-7 back to "mighty fine rock". I don't really know what it was, but I really liked their presentation of the classic rock genre.

Funnily enough, I agree with you. I grew up with that station and liked it better than KZep at the time. It wasn't my absolute favorite station, but it definitely was unique.

Lol, I'm pretty sure the suggestion wouldn't meet receptive ears. It's still a neat station for those it serves and to just have available in a city the size of San Antonio, is quite an accomplishment all in itself. Big band just isn't my cup of tea.

And hey, it's not all big band. In fact I rarely hear any big band on this station. It's mostly crooners and soft classic music and oldies from the 70's. I've heard some quiet jazzy stuff as well. Over all, I agree about it being neat, just not my particular favorite style.
