Cable systems located in one market that carry another market’s channels in HD

Mediacom Bainbridge, GA (Decatur County - Tallahassee DMA) carries NBC and PBS Albany in HD alongside the Tallahassee locals. SD adds ABC Panama City and the system also serves Donalsonville (Seminole County - Dothan DMA), but no Dothan stations are carried at all: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...rence=false&lineupId=GA10438:X&aid=tvschedule

And Seminole County is in the Tallahassee DMA, not Dothan.

Southern Vermont Cable Co. Putney NH (Windham County - Boston DMA) carries CBS, NBC, FOX and WGBH Boston in HD, but has WTEN Albany for ABC instead of WCVB or WMUR! The latter two stations are SD only. It also has Vermont PBS and WNNE (satellite of WPTZ Burlington-Plattsburgh) in HD.

Sheridan, WY is in the Rapid City SD market yet has the following stations in HD

KTVQ CBS Billings, MT (which is on a low powered translator in Sheridan too)
KULR NBC Billings, MT

They do carry the "locals" (KEVN FOX and KSGW Sheridan...which is a satellite of KOTA...for now) and the Casper ABC (but in SD only)

Sturgeon Lake, MN (Pine County) is in the Minneapolis DMA (barely) but carries KQDS (FOX), WDSE (PBS) and WDIO (ABC) from Duluth.
(they carry NBC and CBS from Mpls in HD and My & CW in SD)

Sheridan WY could switch from the Rapid City market to the Casper market when KSGW switches to a relay of KCWY. However, Billings has a better CBS affiliate than Casper and KEVN is probably a better FOX affiliate than the ones in Billings and Casper

Mediacom Davis Junction/Monroe Center IL, just south of Rockford in Ogle County (Rockford DMA), carries both Rockford and Chicago locals in SD, but only Chicago stations in HD. And it carries the "real" WGN, not WGN America.

http://www.mediacomtoday-lineup.com/lineup/232/index.aspx

This system just added WGN America on channel 53 SD/725 HD. And the "real" WGN is still carried, along with the other Chicago stations.

Give the way Tribune has been moving WGN America toward being a standalone cable network, I would expect there will be many such moves down the road on systems that carry WGN-TV off-air.

Surprised they don't carry WSBE-TV (PBS) channel 36 from Providence instead!

As for Holland, MA...that's the town one touches at the CT/MA state line on I-84. You're in it for maybe 500 feet (if that) and then immediately into Sturbridge and Worcester County, MA.
(I just noticed that their COX system carries SNY, alongside NESN and Comcast Sportsnet...but no YES!)

Dunnellon, FL is served by Comcast. However, the town crosses market lines, with one part being in Marion County (Orlando DMA) and the other being in Citrus County (Tampa-St. Petersburg DMA). From Zap2it, it looks like each side has their own lineup.

The Marion County side carries ABC, CBS, and Univision from Orlando, ABC, FOX, and PBS from Gainesville (the Gainesville FOX is a semi-satellite of the Orlando FOX affiliate that happens to be licensed to Ocala [Orlando market]), and NBC and CTN (religious network) from Tampa in HD. SD adds NBC and a religious independent from Orlando and CBS, CW, and MNT from Tampa: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...rence=false&lineupId=FL70406:X&aid=tvschedule

The Citrus County side carries all of the HD channels seen in Marion County except CBS Orlando (which isn't seen at all; there is no CBS HD on this side). SD adds NBC and a religious independent from Orlando, NBC from Gainesville, and CBS, CW, and MNT from Tampa: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...4432&setMyPreference=false&lineupId=FL09545:X

Also in Marion County, Cablevision of Marion County carries the Big Six plus indie WRDQ from Orlando and ABC, CBS, and PBS Gainesville in HD. SD adds ION Orlando and MNT Gainesville: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...4432&setMyPreference=false&lineupId=FL61019:X

Staying there, Bright House carries most of the Orlando stations plus ABC and PBS Gainesville in HD: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...4432&setMyPreference=false&lineupId=FL54943:X

Cox in Ocala (still Marion County) carries most of the Orlando stations (except PBS) plus ABC and PBS Gainesville in HD: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...4479&setMyPreference=false&lineupId=FL09415:X

Charter in Sidney, NE (Cheyenne County - Denver DMA) carries ABC Scottsbluff (itself a repeater of KOTA in Rapid City [for now]) and CBS and FOX Cheyenne, WY in HD (FOX Cheyenne is HD only!) in addition to Denver's Big Four and Nebraska PBS. SD adds CW, MNT, and indie KCDO from Denver: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...rence=false&lineupId=NE26409:X&aid=tvschedule

Charter Gillette, WY (Campbell County - Denver DMA) carries ABC, CBS, and PBS Casper and ABC and FOX Rapid City in HD alongside Denver's Big Four, CW, and MNT. SD adds PBS Denver: http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tvlist...2718&setMyPreference=false&lineupId=WY68807:X [Side note: Gillette would probably have been in the Rapid City DMA if not for the weak CBS and NBC affiliates]

From the Connecticut TV forum:

This is one of the reasons we left Comcast and signed up with AT&T U-verse in 2009. Comcast came in and took over Tele-Media/Adelphia of Western Connecticut then immediately began to remove some of the New York area stations that we've been watching since cable debuted and even before that via antenna. To the contrary, AT&T offered us all of those old channels back as well as some new ones, so it was a no-brainer for us to dump Comcast. Even though there were some highly publicized problems with the transition from AT&T to Frontier, it's a far superior product than what Comcast offered/offers. Even today when I visit friends and relatives who still subscribe to Comcast, I can't believe how they're still using 90s-era cable boxes, graphics, etc. But that's besides the point.

To answer your question... I'm not sure how Frontier is operating their lineups in Connecticut right now, but AT&T split the state into the two markets of NYC (Fairfield County) and Hartford-New Haven (the other seven counties). The Hartford-New Haven market was then further split by county with New Haven County receiving the majority of NYC market stations, followed by Litchfield County, then Middlesex. I think they use the FCC Significantly Viewed (SV) out-of-market station criteria to decide who gets what. For Hartford, Tolland, Windham, and New London counties, all of these NYC stations are blocked out with the exception of a few PBS affiliates. So even though the out-of-market stations are listed in the Hartford-New Haven channel lineup pamphlets they hand out and put on their website, these stations won't actually show up on your TV unless you're in the right zip code. For whatever reason, they don't offer the Springfield, Providence, or Boston market stations like the local cable franchises do.

Another interesting thing is that while it was AT&T's policy to not pick up local digital sub-channels, Frontier began adding them as soon as they took over in November 2014. I'm not sure if this was because it's easier for Frontier to do as a local company (based in Norwalk) or if it was to placate customers after the transition debacle last year. Either way, it's refreshing when a company is adding channels instead of taking them away, so no complaints from me!!!

Since I live in the area and have family and friends in both counties, I can confirm the local lineups for you in Fairfield and New Haven counties:

The following lineups are what AT&T was using as of 2012. I can't confirm them at this time, but I doubt they've changed much (with the exception of new digital subchannels that were recently added). Unfortunately, Frontier doesn't allow you to check the local lineups by zip code which was a feature on AT&T's site.
