Wbz tv channel 4 passes on delayed 11 o'clock news for 5th quarter

Looks like the time salesmen at WBZ TV Channel 4 are running TV/News programming. Madame Secretary ran late - approximately 11:20. The Patriots game was on NBC Channel 10 and not on Channel 4 but instead of going to the delayed 11'Oclock News they went to The 5th Quarter which is one big advertisement. NO NEWS !! Just Jock Talk. The world could be ending but the " Budweiser and Bufferin" Time Salesmen are running the asylum at WBZ TV Channel 4. No wonder we have Comrade Trump in the Oval Office. Punt !

Well according to TV listings, the news came on after the fifth quarter and so what? Pats fans will watch the program anyways. If my CBS O&O station, WFOR, was airing the fifth quarter after a late-night Dolphins game, they'd do the same thing because its Dolphins coverage. WFOR has done it every week for years and my assumption is that WBZ has done the same. They aren't changing it.

Plus, try doing an 11:00 p.m. newscast while also doing the Fifth Quarter at the same time. It can be done on different stations but it would be impossible since my assumption is that WBZ uses its studios for the Fifth Quarter too. So you can't just have the Fifth Quarter and the News on at the same time but on different channels because it just wouldn't work.

You may complain about it but if WBZ has done this every week for years, no matter when the game ends, then don't be surprised that they did this first before airing the delayed 11pm News at 12:30am. At least I'm not.

WBZ TV 4 has TV 38 and they were broadcasting the 5th Quarter right after the game on NBC 10. There are two separate studios. Again, the "Budweiser and Bufferin" Time Salesmen are running the show. Bad Move.

They're gonna do that. If WTVJ was airing a Dolphins game, once it was over, WFOR will do the same thing.

I'm biased here as I'm a Pats fan, so I'll be watching even if its late. As much you may not like it, that's how CBS' O&O promotes its sports coverage.

Clearly, I did not make my point which I assume is my fault. First, the Patriot's game was on NBC - that would be Channel 10 here. It was not on WBZ or its sister station, TV 38. Because of an earlier football game on CBS Channel ran late Madame Secretary ran late and ended at approximately 11:20. Meanwhile the Patriot rehash was running on TV 38 without interruption. When Madame Secretary ended it was logical that the news would follow since the Patriot's rehash was in progress. If you were watching the Patriot's game like I was I was not going to tune into a Madame Secretary or any other program in progress. I would wait for the delayed 11:00 News on WBZ- TV 4. But not again, the Budweiser and Bufferin time salesman are running the programming and so no news - just more rehash of the Patriot's game that was already in progress and being discussed ad nauseum on TV 38.
