I am a fan of Bob Socci and Scott Zolak's coverage of the Patriots games. So, I locate the station the Pat's game is broadcast on this week and mute the TV.
This week I noticed that the game on Channel 4 - the CBS Sports outlet - was way out of sync with the game on the radio.
Apparently, CBS Sports was running the game through a tape delay. While CBS Sports was running a series of commercials the ' live ' game on 98.5 covered several downs the 'taped-live broadcast' missed to sell you Subaru's or Toyota or Budweiser.
At one point I thought I hit the remote and changed the station because what was on the screen bore no resemblance to what I was hearing on 98.5.
I counted four instances in the first three quarters of the game when CBS Sports came in late....very late to the game.
In the Fourth Quarter CBS seemed to sync up with the live radio broadcast but by then the game was essentially over for the Jets.
Again, the "Budweiser and Bufferin " salesmen are clearly in charge.
Next season I will continue to mute the TV Broadcasts of the Patriots games and turn on Socci and Zolak.
