After news recently came out that Sony's Interactive Entertainment division was unloading its PlayStation Vue streaming TV service, they've decided to shut down the service entirely effectively on January 30, 2020. Days after reports that Sony was exploring the sale of Vue, including possibly selling to companies such as Amazon, Apple, and fellow streaming TV provider Fubotv, it seems like they couldn't find a right buyer. Sony acknowledged on its PlayStation blog today that rising programming costs, slow growth of its subscription base, and losing the subscribers they did have, were the chief reasons why Vue is shutting down.

i guess when Youtube and Hulu entered the live streaming paid TV game, PS Vue was doomed. if i was a PS Vue subscriber, i would start waying my options right now and see which streaming service is PS4 compatiable (if i had PS Vue and owned a PS4). too many choices in the live streaming game right now.
