They preempted that for this?

I forgot to mention that AFV will still air at 7:00 PM tonight.

For the cable channels, TBS will air two showings of the film. One aired yesterday and the other aired tonight.

VH1 also aired 42 yesterday at 8:00 PM and again today at 11:00 AM (which I wasn't aware of since my cable guide changed overnight untill VH1's Twitter posted it).

Does this happen on cable all the time? after the baseball game on TBS they joined in progress. I wonder why JIP instead of delay?

It's really only the main broadcast networks that push back programming. Cable networks usually don't schedule new episodes of programs after live events that may run over. Otherwise, when would they be able to play catch-up without angering fans who try to DVR their shows? They don't have live news as an excuse to cut off or skip a show, like how the Big Three would always have to JIP their 10:30 programming during the DNC and RNC so the 11:00 news could start on time. If the an important program does get JIP'd, they'll usually rerun it in the near future.

Actually, ABC didn't air AFV tonight in it's 7:00 PM timeslot. A Match Game repeat aired instead.

I wonder why they did this? AFV usually airs at 7:00 PM on Sundays, but I'm guessing it's probably because of the loss of Summer Fun and Games tonight.

Huh? AFV aired on WABC before Black Panther. Maybe they gave affiliates a choice between the two? Match Game has never aired in the 7:00 slot on a Sunday before, as far as I know, but they have aired it as Sunday afternoon filler before on days with no sports.

Not sure what WSOC aired, I wasn’t at home.

I just checked the airing and yep, it was AFV. They just used the Match Game closing logos by accident.
I checked my TiVo that records from WXLV and either it didn't record or it was deleted to make room. I did, fortunately get the three game shows, so if I had missed the movie, I could still watch.

I'm not sure this qualifies. My TiVo recorded two episodes of "Modern Family" and one each of "black-ish" and "mixed-ish". Only they weren't. When I started watching, it was Game 7. I wasn't aware any NBA playoff series had even reached game 7.

Now why would I care about reruns? I didn't intentionally record the other two, but the first one I lost some episodes of when my TiVo misbehaved for reasons I have never understood.

Several NBC stations are airing "Clear the Shelter" animal shelter charity specials around this time of year. Last Friday, WBRE in Wilkes-Barre, PA aired one at 7:00 PM, and it was paired with a local special at 7:30, bumping both Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! to 2:36 and 3:06 AM, replacing the Hoda & Jenna repeat. Tonight, WETM in Elmira, NY aired it at 7:30, moving Wheel of Fortune to indie 18.2 replacing Modern Family.

Sunday night KMSP FOX Minneapolis has a Vikings classic (as they have the last few weeks). This week is Minneapolis Miracle

Runs from 6-9 which pre-empts the FOX NFL preview and Boxing. They are pushed back to 11pm
