Your ideas on capitalization, punctuation and spelling are imaginative, too.

not at all true.. some of us work in radio.. and know the fat lady will sing while being carried away by flying pigs before any of what you suggest to happen would happen

Hey Robert, you ever hear stations overdrive their audio? KNLE 88.1 was doing this last I checked, not sure if it is now. But it's the worst when stations overdrive, on my radio they fart when they overdrive.

You said: "Wow You Guys Really Hate Imagination,Know Wonder You Folks Obsessed With Translators Cause You Want All The Real Stations Covered Up With Ghost Signals,Im Innovative,I Have Cared About My Radio Hobby Since 1993 So Im Aloud To Think Of Cool Ideas To Save The AirWaves"

Two points you fail to realize: 1) Every station you complain about is LICENSED by the FCC because each one meets the distance separation between stations to permit the license in the first place.
2) Radio stations are businesses. This includes for profit and non-profit.

Many of your posts strike us radio people about like this: they need to shut down that second convenience store on the corner because it interferes with the original convenience store's business. And they shouldn't have that ATM because there's a bank in the next block with one. Or, there are several barbeque spots between Austin and Llano but I'm only interested in the Llano BBQ restaurant. I hate that there's so much traffic now and I think the highway department should put in a freeway to make it easier to get to.

Yes, this is a little over the top but many of your posts are about distant stations you once could receive but now cannot. The fact is KAJZ could care less if you listen beyond the Highland Lakes. They only care about selling commercials in that area because that is where their listeners are. Growing up I enjoyed listening to KKAJ in Ardmore, Oklahoma from my bedroom in Mesquite in the DFW Metro. I didn't matter to KKAJ and I didn't buy from the merchants that bought advertising. In fact KKAJ wasn't programming for me in Mesquite but the area right around Ardmore. By the way, a few years after my first listened, a new FM came on and I could not hear KKAJ any longer but in reality, I was far outside their protected coverage area.

Don't complain to us about what you can't hear. Go to the entity that allows this to happen: The Federal Communications Commission.

That is overmodulation. On FM, the higher you modulate the wider the bandwidth, and at some point you exceed the bandwidth of many receivers in the field. The result is popping on the peaks of modulation.

Unlike AM, where there is a finite modulation level, FM 100% modulation is an arbitrary point. In many nations where I have worked stations go to 125% to 130% modulation (no higher as that is where the ubiquitous Optimod loses stereo injection the higher you go). Most radios tolerate 125% nicely and the stations sound louder.

I have an AM in my area that used to sound liek over driven muddy distorted cow dung..... with spurs all over the dial. the audio is much better now and spurs arent as bad

LOL I did hear an AM overmodulating once, think it was KQQB in San Antonio. The transmitter kept shutting off then back on whenever the overmodulation happened, every couple seconds. At least it's been fixed by now.

Why do you capitalize the first letter of every word? And why is your entire post one huge run-on sentence?

Please don't capitalize every word. That is hard for most people to read. Perhaps you have a setting that does that automatically, and you can turn it off.

I think you may have some interesting points, but this is a message board and not texting on the phone. You could write single-thought sentences and break them into coherent paragraphs.

As it is, it's really not possible to read and assimilate your post. But please don't be offended... try writing in a different style without the caps as I think you have some interesting points to make.

If you look at his past posts, he has posted in this way for years. It may be some weird idiosyncratic concept of "style" he has concocted, or perhaps some sort of disability. Others have asked him to post more comprehensibly -- if not dropping the capitals, then at least displaying some knowledge of punctuation -- but on he goes, oblivious.

Kudos to you Robert for contacting the stations. Many never do. What you are saying (if I can getting it right) is you have contacted the FCC and are being told they do not have the authority. They wouldn't say that. The FCC is no different from the IRS when it comes to a government agency. They write the rules and enforce them (with Congress as their boss). If you contacted the IRS and said you knew of a tax dodger, the IRS isn't going to say they can't do anything about that.

We understand both disabilities and English as a second language issues. We hope we can accommodate everyone. However, my suggestions are to make his posts readable for all of us to appreciate and perhaps there are things he can do in his text editor, software or speech recognition settings to make what he has to say more readable.

You seem to have a good handle on posting yourself, so perhaps you can assist him. That way we can better appreciate his posts!

KAJZ is a great station! Thanks for what you're doing, Robert. Not all of us speak Spanish LOL.

On a side note 106.5 is now on 107.1 HD-4 re broadcast.
