Apparently her program didn't last long on WHMP.Interesting to see Curley's show picked up by a WHMP, a non-Howie affiliate. Howie mentioned yesterday that his show is now on a station in the southwest (New Mexico?). Should be interesting to see if they continue to pick up new affiliates with the shifting talk landscape.

From the WHMP website: You told us, we listened.
It’s Northampton, for goodness’ sakes, a very liberal stronghold, what else could you expect?
I should think the addition of Grace Curley was not a local decision. It’s Northampton, for goodness’ sakes, a very liberal stronghold, what else could you expect?
Then was the deletion of Grace Curley also not a local decision?I should think the addition of Grace Curley was not a local decision.
It's a small market in very liberal territory, not far from the five colleges. It MAY have more of a chance than if it were Boston.I suspect WHMP's line up will have about as much success as Air America.
Air America did not fail because it was liberal; it failed because the hosts were too intense and almost totally un-entertaining.I suspect WHMP's line up will have about as much success as Air America.

It was a locally influenced decision. The considerable audience blowback drifted all the way from Northampton to Michigan, whence the approval to restore Thom Hartmann to his previous time slot was vouchsafed. Then was the deletion of Grace Curley also not a local decision?
Not only is Northampton not far from the five colleges, it is home to one of them. (The gates of Smith are a few blocks from City Hall and a short walk from WHMP.)It's a small market in very liberal territory, not far from the five colleges. It MAY have more of a chance than if it were Boston.
I'd've known that if I could've remembered the names of the five colleges. Not only is Northampton not far from the five colleges, it is home to one of them. (The gates of Smith are a few blocks from City Hall and a short walk from WHMP.)
