WQAM-AM/Miami Rebrands as ''AM 560 Sports WQAM''

https://news.****************/articles/n41279/WQAM-AM-Miami-Rebrands-as-AM-560-Sports-WQAM

This includes a lineup change for WQAM

WQAM-AM (560 The Joe)/Miami is rebranding as "AM 560 Sports WQAM," effective immediately. The station will boast a new weekday lineup, including the addition of local host Jonathan Zaslow to middays. Zaslow had previously hosted middays for sister station WAXY-AM (790 The Ticket). The Sports outlet will also add programming from CBS Sports Radio.

The full lineup is as follows: Joe Rose & Zach Krantz (6-10am), Jonathan Zaslow (10am-2pm), "Hochman & Crowder" (2-6pm), Local specialty shows and Florida Panthers, NFL games or University of Miami basketball play-by-play (6-11pm), "JR Sports Brief" (11pm-2am) and Amy Lawrence (2-6am).

Good to see the WQAM calls being mentioned again. They could really use a FM simulcast
Along with moving the rest of WAXY’s local programming and the Heat over to WQAM, but they’re probably too gunshy to do that after having outright alienated Dan LeBatard.

They could always blow 104.3 up for WQAM-FM. It’s just sitting there lol

I'll admit that sports talk is not my favorite format but putting it on a full power FM seems like a waste of a signal, at least in this market.
