KLIF/Dallas Adds Markley, van Camp and Robbins to Middays

Compass Media Networks adds News/Talk KLIF-AM and KSCS-FM-HD2/Dallas as new affiliate for "The Markley, van Camp and Robbins Show," starting Monday, February 28, from 12-2pm. The show represents perspectives from every generation. David van Camp is a millennial, Jamie Markley represents Gen X, and Scott Robbins is the Baby Boomer.

KLIF Program Director Bruce Collins said, "These guys were just what we were looking for to add to KLIF's lineup, News and Information and a whole lot of laughs and fun. They understand entertaining radio."

The changes are actually much more than that, even though that show addition was what got picked up in the trades.

The "liberty-loving-latino" Chris Saucedo is out at WBAP in the 9-11 AM slot. Replacing him is Ernie Brown, who was at afternoons at 570 KLIF. In Ernie's old slot is Sean Hannity, who came over from 660 KSKY. Where Hannity was on KSKY is now Charlie Kirk.

Hannity was on WBAP for most of his syndicated career until they went local and KSKY grabbed him. It's interesting that his return to Cumulus is on 570 instead of 820.

I really like Ernie and listened to him and Chad on 570 on my way home most days. I didn't personally find most of WBAP's local programs very compelling other than the Morning News and Krok on occasion. Saucedo was too rah-rah Republican and predictable (not unlike Mark Davis) and Roberts in the afternoon is just a little too slowly-paced for me. Obviously, with Roberts sticking around, he must be doing okay with the audience.

Intersting how this just flew under the radar. Maybe Salem is trying to give CK a push by clearing him in many of the markets where they have a station. So Hannity had to go.
