well Grace was raving about the lease she got on a Rav 4 from a sponsor...

Remember when Howie was getting a free car from the Caddy dealer in Woburn, and illegally driving around on dealer plates for longer than the law allowed.
 
Ashlee has made it to 3 years on WJMN in spite of the fact WJMN has been getting flipped to every format under the sun on this board for many years.

Clea Simon was a frequent target on previous message boards for her total lack of knowledge on the subject. But that seems to be the norm at the Globe over the last 25 years.

Dean, post Herald did some weekend overnights at WBZ A and was a contributor up at WCAP Lowell which was close to where he lived before he died last fall suddenly.and way too young.

Carr is such an odd duck. At his age he has to have more then enough money to life out his life comfortably yet it seems his only passion in life is grifting and chasing the almighty dollar. How he can read those snake oil spots to his loyal audience when they are obviously scammers preying on people looking for cheap yet miraculous cures to their ills? Not to mention the cheesy merch he peddles, or the "VIP" packages. Nobody makes people buy this stuff, but still, have some self-respect for you and your audience.
Makes me think of that Boston Magazine expose on him from years ago where the author argued that his wife is the driving force behind chasing the dollars - he. must. get. every. last. dollar.
He's obviously been very successful, but it just feels sad now.

My father (83) listens to Carr and has most of his books. I'd actually buy him one of those VIP packages so he could see the show in person. I'd never do it for myself, but I know my old man would enjoy it.
 
the amount of money he wants to sit there and watch the crossover from grace to him, and eat the free food from Kowloon that is at least 3 hours old is obscene.

Dad would be better off watching the video feed on Rumble.

And you can only do it when he is back in MA, for half the year he is in Florida

But since he has to make up for lost time in FL, he does them Tuesday AND Wednesdays when he is back for the summer, you get 2 signed books and a Tee shirt.... all for ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS A PERSON.

In the summer he is always doing remotes on Friday, usually close to where he has a summer place so he doesn't have to drive home from the studios in Fri night traffic, so if you want to take Dad to see him, go to a remote, it is free... for now.

Howie gets just about everything for free, cars, food, hair plugs, cosmetic dentistry, etc etc. I saw a blurb the other day about minority and women owned businesses here in MA getting free grants and loans, does anyone know if the Howie Carr Radio Network is now owned by his wife?

It's $158.50 per person, he added in an $8.50 "fee". Also, Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and CANNOT BE EXCHANGED for other dates.

I'm guessing all these comments will show up on Howie's show on Monday's segment of "hate mail Monday!" šŸ˜;)(y)
 
you can go to the Secretary of State, Commonwealth of MA and see all the companies she has her name on as either President, VP, Treasurer, Manager or Signatory.

Look up Keltic Energy LLC, set up by MR and Mrs to sell "supplements" earlier this year.

also Frandel LLC

there are a couple of others that are no longer in business but listed.

Use Katherine S as the first name and middle initial when searching

Howie mentioned this in a "full disclosure" bit at start of Brothers Bulger, saying Alan Dershowitz represented them in a case against Imus and his TV/radio networks, case settled out of court.
 
The reason Imus lost was the Carr's NEVER mention Mrs Carr by name, she is "the Mailroom Manager" or was it "Submit" at one point... I've lost track.

But by keeping her real identity behind the scenes, she is not a "public person" and the laws for defamation and slander are different for a public person and a private citizen out of the public eye.

I am thanking my lucky stars I was unaware of, and missed, this whole damned freak show.

In 1998, Don Imus claimed Carr's wife was having an affair with boxer Riddick Bowe. Mrs. Carr retained Alan Dershowitz as her lawyer. The parties reached an undisclosed settlement. In a 2007 column, Carr alleged that Imus' statements were incited by [Mike] Barnicle. According to Carr, Barnicle told Imus that Carr had said Imus "would die before his kid got out of high school".

[Imus died in 2019. His eldest son Frederick Wyatt Imus, who may be the one being referred to, was born in 1998]
