Ch. 31 Sacramento went through a simultaneous callsign and format change in the spring (April 5) following that of Ch. 20 San Francisco the previous fall.

'The Jeffersons', Alice', and 'One Day At A Time' were all on the CBS daytime lineup, presumably not cleared on KXTV.
As I understand it, 'People Are Talking' had regional versions(the format originated in Boston). It's more likely that a new station with no news department might have picked up the show from elsewhere . I hated the KPIX 'People Are Talking' when I was a kid.

KXTV pre-empted The Jeffersons and Alice for the then-new Hour Magazine. As for People Are Talking, it was on the Group W stations (KPIX San Francisco, WBZ Boston, WJZ Baltimore, KDKA Pittsburgh, KYW Philadelphia).
 

Here is a video of KRBK Sacramento promos. Note the announcer noted "Coming Soon to the New Channel 31" This may be in the transition period between KMUV to KRBK.
