A documentary about WBGO will be seen on NJ PBS Wednesday April 20 at 8PM

WBGO Story: Bright Moments from Newark to the World will be seen Wednesday at 8 PM on NJ PBS stations. Viewers in New York may be able to get this station on their cable TV system. I have Spectrum in Queens and can get NJPBS on Channel 1223.

As a listener and contributor to WBGO, I enjoyed the documentary. I didn't know that WBGO's studios were on the 4th floor of Central High School in Newark. In the beginning, the station played records held by its employees. The documentary didn't mention anything about Felix Hernandez and his Rhythm Revue which has recently been expanded from 4 hours/week to 11 hours/week. He plays some good oldies that used to be heard on WCBS-FM.
