The Wolf to stop howling?

They are now playing a new loop of "Power" songs, as of midnight.
So "Party" & "Power" are our clues.
Will there be another clue in 24 hours before the noon launch?

I wouldn't put too much stock into what CFL Radio is saying. They also report that the brand will be "The Fly 103.1", which, I'd actually accept only if it's matched with a logo featuring a house fly in rave gear with glo sticks.

By the way, according to All Access, Lil' Shawn has been with JVC since March, over on 'Florida Man Radio':

If they start playing songs with the word "fly" in it, will they play "A fly girl" by The Boogie Boys? Also, hoping they go with something other than "Fly" for their station moniker. Something more Florida like.
 
They start midnight with Offspring "Pretty FLY For a White Guy" & the new call letters.
That's 3 clues.
It's time to go to our "Thinking Chair".
 
Whatever format it will be, I have to give props to the person/people who put together these stunting playlists, digging deep into songs by The Beatles & following that with Quad City DJ's, playing The Offspring & following that with Frank Sinatra.
You don't hear that on the radio on a regular day. (y)
 
Heard the launch. Another chr. Can they change their call letters to WPYO and call themselves power 103.1? : ) Good luck going after WXXL. All they'll need to do is tweak their playlist if they feel threatened. This will be the equivalent of when the wolf went after k-92.

So far it sounds like Power 2.0. Just a lil further down the dial.

As I type the above "Moscow Mule" by Bad Bunny came on. That's more uniquely Orlando.
 
I agree. It sounds like where Power 95.3 left off, so they will probably get a piece of that pie that 104.5 The Beat inherited with Power 95.3's departure, like I said before.
XL 106.7 has nothing to worry about.
I enjoyed the stunting more than the real format itself.
I can't stand the mumble rap of "The Hottest Hit Music" of today, so nothing changes in my car's presets.

Well, I enjoyed the brief clip they played of a "95.3 Party" sweeper during the intro to Fly 103.1. I also liked them playing "I'll Fly With You" by Gigi Agostino -- a 95.3 Party staple -- as part of their stunting with songs that have Fly in their name.

Aside from that, I don't have a horse in this race. It's a better business decision than classic hop hop. JVC bit off a lot here, and I hope they can chew it. In a CHR battle, they are quite literally David to WXXL's Goliath parent iHeart (or even the former WPYO's parent Cox Media Group).

Cox still maintains a "Power Orlando" stream online, I wonder what becomes of that.
 
Meanwhile, K92.3 has added a new HD2 Country format.
Not the official new den for The Wolf, but it's now there.

Iā€™be been listening to Fly 103.1, and Iā€™m enjoying the music so far. Not too much Hip-Hop, but more Rhythmic Pop and a few recurrents.
