FM Frequency of the Week: 100.3

WRUM - Orlando FL - Rumba 100.3 - Spanish // HD1 (IHeart Radio)
WRUM-HD2 - Mega 97.1 - "Musica con calle"
WRUM-HD3 - Accion 97-9 - noticias....

kw - Melbourne FL

Nothing but splatter from strong local 100.5s at current and former locations ... from country WXXK Lebanon, NH, here in Hartland, VT, and from AC WRCH, Hartford, back in Meriden, CT.

East Tennessee: Local powerhouse WCYQ (once the iconic top 40 WOKI). Since John Pirkle sold it after LMAing it to several different parties I’ve haven’t it off the air in quite awhile, but when I did, I would get WVVR “The Beaver” Hopkinsville KY. WCYQ still has a huge signal, though translators are encroaching. -Retro/other: Dayton and West Central Ohio. 100.3 was the long-time home of WCNB-FM, later WIFE. For whatever reason this frequency was moved into the Cincinnati market. It had a good signal and was a tossup between them and WCLT-FM. The day after Connersville signed off I got the Knoxville station (then WNOX) In Springfield Ohio.

Wilmington Delaware

Local WRNB Philadelphia with Urban Contemporary/RAP/HIPHOP. In warm humid weather if I twist the antenna I can get a whiff of WBIG Washington DC with Classic Rock.

Update from Hartland, VT:
Enhanced propagation today is bringing in active rock WHEB-FM Portsmouth, NH, overpowering the splatter from WXXK. We are normally far beyond the estimated fringe contour of this station. Same for WAMC-FM Albany, NY, which I'm now hearing on the usually empty 90.3.

Bangor MAINE

WKIT 100.3 Stephen King's Rock and Roll Radio Station

also WKIT HD2 with co-owned WZLO Dover-Foxcroft ME "Maine's Adult Alternative"

and WKIT HD3 with also co-owned WZON-620AM "Z-62 Retro Radio"

South Mississippi:

KLRZ Larose, LA "ESPN New Orleans 100.3" and
WNSL Laurel, MS "SL100, Your #1 Hit Music Station" are usually there.
These have come in with tropo:
KRRV Alexandria, LA (country) is received frequently, with HD
KILT Houston "The Bull 100.3"
KJKK Dallas "100.3 Jack FM"

Central Kansas:
Good reception from KNZS/Arlington, though a visit from KDVV/Topeka is not uncommon.

North Iowa:
Occasional but still semi-common visits from KDRB/Des Moines (with a weak signal) are not uncommon. (KFXN-FM/Minneapolis can sometimes be heard, but not that often.)

WCLT is a blaster here in Pickerington, Ohio, to the point that I don't recall ever hearing anything else on the channel. Their tower is roughly 25 miles to my east-northeast, atop a hill on the south side of Newark.
