Retro: KPBS-TV Channel 15-San Diego, CA - February 14 ,1971-Valentine's Day ❤️(First Local Membership Drive for KPBS)

SOURCE: Times-Advocate in Escondido, CA, San Diego Union in San Diego, CA.
Here is the TV schedule from PBS affiliate KPBS-TV in San Diego, CA for February 14, 1971-Valentine's Day. ❤️ 📺 💵
NOTE: KPBS-TV will conduct its very first local live on-air Membership Campaign for the very first time in the station's history since it first went on the air on June 25, 1967, because it was originally fully funded by the the State of California and since June 1970, the station had decided to see whether the community valued it enough to support it with small donations and membership fees and the direct-mail campaign at that time by the late Gloria Penner raised $23,000.. Everything had gone fine with direct mail support and state funding support, but because of precariouness of state support and cuts in grants since early February 1971, the non-commercial station NOW turns for the Community Support, and over 1,264 members who have sent in $15 or more as a years' membership in KPBS, and another 50 who have sent less than $15 as a donation. With the basic membership of $15 a year, members will recieve the monthly program guide for both FM and TV. Those who send $30 get a choice of the Kenneth Clark Civilisation book or the Julia Child French Chef book, both handsome and expensive volumes. A $50 contributor gets both books. Members soon will be offered a set of books on the Churchills at a discount, all contributions are tax-deductible and Bankamericard is accepted.
