How is KPNW FM doing in the ratings? Particularly in the demos they’re after?

Are radio station bumper stickers still a thing?

I always thought it was a bad idea, sticking one of those on your bumper as a way to show your loyalty to a station, and of course it gives free advertising for the station. But then the day comes when they change format or for whatever reason you're no longer a listener. Have you ever tried to successfully scrape one of those off your bumper? Good luck in that!
There’s also the issue of handing these stickers out at public events. The Puyallup Fair (excuse me, the Washington STATE fair) had a real issue with radio stations handing out bumper stickers, because these stickers were ending up all over the fairgrounds plastered on rides and light posts. It’s too bad, because one of my favourite things to do as a kid was go check out the radio booths and see if the personalities I listened to were somehow there. Still have the KJR 95.7 Sunshine logo as a bumper sticker somewhere.

And that's the reality of today: Younger audiences don't have 'favorite radio stations' that they're willing to display on their mom's car, or whatever. If it's not a popular app on their phone, there's zero interest.

We still get requests from faraway places for bumper stickers. They've likely not even heard of us. To further remove this thread from its' origins, we spent thousands on branded t-shirts. After I discovered them being proudly worn by street people, I decided we didn't need to do that anymore...

Are you sure they weren't just radio nerds who happen to resemble homeless people? ;)

Have ya been to Aberdeen lately?

If my new career doesn’t work out for me maybe I’ll try living the radio nerd homeless lifestyle in the ‘deen. Instead of “y’all got any cigarettes?” it will be “y’all got any D-cell batteries for this Grundig bro??”
That old KJET van isn’t lookin so bad now is it? Could see it parked down by the Wishkah River somewhere. Cozy.

I could be living just like Kurt Cobain. Though in these modern times, you wouldn’t bring it down to the Wishkah; you’d take it over to the Travelure motel and try not to pop any tires on broken glass in the parking lot.

Inflated tires are a luxury not a necessity.

I rather enjoyed the whole era of Young Country and their Butt Stickers! That was radio gold!!

Weekly cume has moved downward as well (as would be expected):

Station____Format___Nov 22__Dec 22__Hol 22__Jan 23___Feb 23__Mar 23

KPNW-FM_AAA_____257,400_217,900_203,100_255,900_189,300_111,800

No. This is in line with what happens in the first month of a drastic format change to a format that takes time to build and the marketing campaign hasn't ramped up yet.
Correct. This is going to be an expen$ive wait and $ee period for 98.9. Realistically, a check back at the end of Summer should give a better picture.
Big winners this time through the Nielsen doors appear to be The Jet, The Wolf, The Sound and Star.

Seems like an encoding error to me.
There is no change in PPM encoding if a format changes The PPM encoder is linked to the facility, not the brand.
