We have a challenging race going on right now for the most "voted" posters on Radio Discussions. Here are the top 5:

You can "like" or "love" a good post or react some other way. You can laugh, frown or hate, too. But react to the posts you like and let their creators know you read them!

(I should disqualify myself as a moderator, but I have loved ratings and rankings since I got my first "book" in 1965!)

I've seen that list and I'm not far off that top 5, though not likely to catch Mr. Hagerty unless he takes an extended hiatus from the board. Do only positive reactions (like, LOL, love) count toward the score, or do the others (surprise, sad, angry) count as well? And how do you distinguish between the LOL given because the poster has written something witty and the LOL given because the poster has written something ridiculous or nonsensical?

Everybody wants to be #1

All comments count, per a test I just made. We do need a tearful icon, though....

Of course, the more comments you make, the more reactions you'll get. I'm avoiding Eurovision, so I've made a quick table calculating the top 20, dividing the number of comments by the reaction score, and it's good news for Mikey Radio.

I'm sure there's someone out there with one post and four "likes" who would blow all these also-rans out of the water...

I'm avoiding Eurovision...
I have not liked a Eurvosion winning song since "Lonely Teardrops" exactly 10 years ago (loved the drummers).

I'm sure there's someone out there with one post and four "likes" who would blow all these also-rans out of the water...
There is an advantage for newer members, because the reaction system was only installed after Frank took over (circa 2018??). No one was "liking" posts for the first decade plus of the site.

Aha! I'm closing in on Hagerty in total reactions, but he's been much more efficient in accumulating them. A lot of swing-and-miss in my game, it seems, but what about the quality of the reactions? I'd rather have a stat sheet with all "loves" and "LOLs" than one with a bunch of bland "likes" or go-away-we-hate-you "angries," no matter how low my reaction percentage is. I'll leave it to the RadioDiscussions Analytics Department to determine which approach to the reaction "game" is optimal.

My numbers are inflated by the number of times I've had to hop in with facts, which then generate likes (bland or otherwise, I can't tell).

If I only had to say it once, I wouldn't even be on the chart.

And my post total is inflated by my participation in three games (Fantastic Word Game, Song Game, Word Association), in which most posts generate no reaction.

I also had a thought about if we had a ??? reaction for "what???" as well. But I know if this keeps up we'll end up with all the emojis for reactions. :D
