KTVT cancels CBS News Texas at 6pm for Jepoardy moving from KTXA

guess we are witnessing the end of the traditional 6 PM newscast as we are in a age where live or pre-recorded news can be found online.
 
Let's not read too much into this. Jeopardy is highly rated. If KTVT didn't have access to it, it would likely keep its 6 p.m. news. It still has lots of newscasts:

4 to 7 a.m.
9 to 9:30 a.m.
12 to 12:30 p.m.
4 to 5:30 p.m.
10 to 10:35 p.m.
12:35 to 1:40 a.m. (repeat)

BTW, isn't it remarkable that Jeopardy's main host is someone who's previous TV job was being a contestant on Jeopardy?

I think it's 4:30-7am, 9am becomes an hour this September as evidenced by sister station WBBM Chicago, 9pm if u count KTXA

Its 5:00-7:00am, 9:00-9:30am, 11:00-11:30am, 4:00-5:30 and 10:00-10:35pm + the new 7:00-8:00pm hour on KTXA.

why not 4:30am anymore as does 11:30am? KGTV now starts a 5am. is it not worth it to expand and reduce?
 
turns out, the 6 PM news was moved to 7 PM on KTXA 21 starting last week along with Jeopardy's move to KTVT CBS (11) Texas.

so the schedule for CBS News Texas on KTVT/KTXA are (not counting replays on CBS News Texas the 24/7 streaming channel):
5-7 AM: CBS News Texas This Morning (they were the only ones not to regain 4:30 AM newscast after it was cut in the pandemic), on Channel 11.
9-9:30 AM: CBS News Texas at 9 AM, on channel 11.
11-11:30 AM: CBS News Texas at 11 AM, on channel 11.
4-5:30 PM: CBS News Texas at 4 & 5, on channel 11.
7-8 PM: CBS News Texas at 7, on channel 21 (replaces CBS News Now, which aired at 9 PM on channel 21).
10-10:35 PM: CBS News Texas at 10 PM, on channel 11.
12:37-1:12 AM: CBS News Texas at 10 PM (overnight replay), on channel 11.
4:30 AM to 5 AM: CBS News Texas at 10 PM (early morning replay before the 5-7 live news), on channel 11.
