BOSS radio group on Facebook the old days of knx 1070

So I was scrolling on Facebook and out of nowhere here comes Boss radio group so I scrolled down on it and could not believe how Young these kids were playing 60's music David E was this common to have young cats doing the on Air personality thing?

(I'm not David, but since the subject line is about the old days of KNX 1070 and the question is about young kids playing 60s music, I don't think it will matter.)

I thought I started on-air early at 15, but that actually seems to have been pretty common among jocks who started in the 1960s and early 70s, with some even younger (Charlie Tuna and Charlie Van Dyke at 14, Shadoe Stevens at 11---but that was his dad's radio station).

With that much of a head start, if you go to the bigs (I didn't), you get there pretty young.

Van Dyke was working for Bill Drake at CKLW when he was 21, at KFRC when he was 22, at KGB when he was 23 and at KHJ (the first time) when he was 24. Tuna and Shadoe were 23 when they got hired at KHJ. Machine Gun Kelly was 21. Billy Pearl and Ken Levine (Beaver Cleaver) were on the air in L.A. at 22. Willie B. was 20 when he got hired at KTNQ---
