No Sale Looming, ESPN 98.7 expected to pivot to Music

Why would a company surrender an asset with a value of tens of millions? Really? All it takes is one buyer to meet Emmis' asking price.
And if that one buyer is out there, why haven't the come forward? Are they waiting for a fire sale? Could there have been buyers or other LMA-ers [religious or otherwise] that Emmis have turned down? Won't know unless someone spills the beans.

Who said anything about 24 hours? It'll likely be the morning show.
Unless ...

... this is a deliberate attempt at misdirection and something unexpected happens on Tuesday ...?

BTW, the retired WINS morning anchor Judy DeAngelis still does a once-per-week
Thursday afternoon show on Fairleigh Dickinson University's WFDU 89.1 Teaneck, NJ:
"Duff & DeAngelis - Pop Oldies with Duff Sheffield and Judy DeAngelis"

As has been stated many times, many ways ... (Merry Christmas to you.) ... the owner has set a high price to satisfy the shareholders. When and whether that asking price comes down is up to him and those shareholders.

Nobody has reached Emmis' asking price. There have been plenty of interested parties. But you should try going to an investment bank and saying you want 30+ million to buy a radio station in 2024, especially a stand alone signal in a market. They'll not-so-kindly ask you to leave while laughing in your face.

Isn't Emmis's game plan to sell off all their radio stations? Hopefully they're smart enough to lower the price if so.
