Question - When are the Sept. '24 ratings for Los Angeles stations being released? Or have they already been

....released and I missed it? I don't have a subscription to Radio Insight, so I can only see the front page. I see the announcements for a number of other markets for September.....so perhaps L.A. ratings are coming soon? I was wondering if KRTH was still # 1, as they have had kind of a spectacular year. If this post is inappropriate in some way, please feel free to delete it. This is the link below. This is actually the link to the page which announced dates in October that September ratings will be released. ( even though the thumbnail has a summary of Aug. 24. I don't know why that is). Thank you to the moderators for all that you do. I have learned a great deal in the past 2 years, and I sure appreciate all your work. -- D.

Thank you! I didn’t look far enough back in that forum. I tried using the search function, but I didn’t get results. Thanks again, from D.

For the record: In PPM markets, the ratings are released four weeks after the previous release.

Not to be confused with "a month later". Nielsen has 13 "months" in the year, made up of 28 days each. And that is why, later in the year, the calendar months do not match the Nielsen ones.

Oh— I get it now. David, thank you for adding that detail.
When Nielsen has finished compiling all the data, do they send out an email blast to you, Lance, and everyone else here who works in management? How do you get it posted here so fast? Thank you, from Daryl

Those subscribed and those in the authorized media have fixed times for each "month" when they can download. Most of us sit by the clock waiting to get the results each month from our markets.

I had intended to imply that by my choice of the phrase "four weeks" but that clarification did need to be made. ”Gracias, mi amigo!

For PPM Markets Survey Schedule periods, go to Page 2 of the PDF file linked below (it is updated each year in the Fall):

For specific scheduled Data Delivery Dates, use this link:

--For this example:--

"Market" would be "Los Angeles"
"Survey" would be "September 2024"
"Service" would be "PPM Monthly"

After clicking on "Run Report", these are the results:

L.A. PPM Monthly report became available on Monday 9/30/2024 at 12 Noon (to the radio stations and advertisers/agencies)
while the publicly released data (primarily age 6+ via the web and demo rankings via the ResearchDirectorInc.com blog)
became available at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET on the same release date.

Likewise, the "October 2024" data was released on Monday 10/28/2024.

Generally speaking, the data release date for L.A. is 26 days after the survey period ends.
This is subject to delays in months when holidays interfere with the data release dates
(such as the upcoming "Holiday 2024" report which is scheduled for release on Tuesday 1/28/2025).
