WYSO Public Radio launches music-only streaming channel

Looks like it's on their HD-2 as well. I'm too far south (and too close to the WGUC and WVXU transmitters) to check it out myself to verify but the article mentions it.
 
I could be wrong, but public radio is trying to appear less stuffy, and attract a younger audience who might have a perception of what public radio is.....

I agree, and they're also looking for other content besides news to attract members. If they do, they can hold member events at their studios or tie in with local music venues. Further local outreach in order to attract members.

I'll kinda admit, when i was much younger, i had this idea of what public radio should sound like... and that was high brow and stuffy and boring. Public radio needs younger people to keep things going.

And lets be honest, many public stations do sound liek what you expect.. style of announcer/local news delivery, content, etc..... its not a knock, just a thing ive noticed
