Tampa Ratings February 2025: Joy Rises To Second Place

Once the darling of the market, the new Vibe falls to 4th place. iHeart's US 103.5 and 98 Rock rise to tie for 5th. Right-wing WFLA hits a 4 share, good for a 10th place tie with Magic.

The biggest story has to be Q105's continuing upward trend from last October!

So, the honor of the lowest-rated, non-English, non-Ethnic, non-Public, non-translator station goes to... The Beat - someone check it for a pulse!

Once the darling of the market, the new Vibe falls to 4th place.

The Vibe is right in the same range as its pre-holiday numbers showed. In fact, since ad buys are based on rating and not share, there is no change at all. Remember, too, that agencies (the folks radio commissions ratings for) buy based on multi-book averages and they generally exclude the December and Holiday books from those averages.

Maxima 92.5 seems to have hit a skid. Both 95.7 and 97.1 seem to be gaining share at their expense.

The Beat doesn’t count because is a Sarasota signal with a Tampa translator. And it’s not “non-English”, whatever that’s supposed to mean.
