‘ CBS 60 Minutes’ publicly releases transcripts of interview to the FCC

The money isn't going to the president. It's going to charity. In truth, it may never go anywhere if the president doesn't build a library.

This lawsuit wasn't about money. It was about putting out a press release saying "we won." Even though they didn't.
CBS literally got sued for the same thing I do daily, at my tv station - ironically a cbs affiliate, for editing down an interview/soundbite to fit within the time constraints of a stork or block. I don’t think this is the end.

I don’t think this is the end.

Of course it's not the end. He's going to keep suing national news organizations as long as he can. If they take it to court, he will drag it out for years. Then he kicks it to the supreme court where they will invent some way for him to win. We've seen this movie for ten years.

Bahahahahahahahahahaha…..ok, sure. A man of sterling integrity won’t pocket that money in time.

The delusion runs deep. The entire operation is built on grift and bribery. It’s the mafia. Can we stop pretending there’s honesty at play here?
In truth, it may never go anywhere if the president doesn't build a library.
The irony of an illiterate buffoon building a library is rich. He and his demon spawn will find some way to build a tacky, hideous monument. It’s what they do.

They forced compliance. They struck another blow to the idea of an independent press. They won. Fascism won yet again.

It’s the end of this case. The settlement is done. There’s no fantasy scenario where that gets undone.

Here's how the Washington Post sees it:

Of course, the Post went through its own public humiliation a few months ago.

The article talks about Murrow. Of course we all know that Murrow may have brought down McCarthy. But he lost his TV show and ultimately left CBS. There was no reward from the company for what he did.

again, a media company is bending the knee to get a merger done, i wouldn't be surprised in the future, in order to approve all media mergers or to keep media companies afloat, the US Government under Trump will buy a some ownership shares of these companies (about 25% to 50% ownership) so they can be turn into "State Run media", as most fascist dictators like to tend to own the media outlets to further spread their propaganda and lies.

Celebrities never spend their own money. So he will never spend his own money to buy radio or TV. He really doesn't have to own any percentage to get that result. Just have the FCC come up with some requirement. It'll be unconstitutional, but this supreme court will find a way to approve it.

CBS should sue over this article. Total defamation:

The president didn't win. A settlement is only a win in social media. Otherwise, we could say Dominion won the lawsuit over Fox News.

Fox News edits its taped interviews every day. They've edited interviews with the president. Everything they talk about here is stuff they do too.

The money doesn't go to the president. It goes to a library that likely will never get built. Until then it sits in escrow.

This is how the president has defrauded the American people. By using Fox News and other media who lies to them.

He won in the minds of his adherents and his detractors. John Stewart didn’t go on an epic rant because Paramount came out ahead. We need to talk reality, not inane semantics. Likewise, that money will absolutely go to him or his spawn if he kicks off. We can play semantic games about the library all we want. It’s a damn smokescreen, just like the plane bribe.

Simpsons and Family Guy still bash Fox since they were sold to Disney, but they've haven't done much Disney bashing
Just like half the comic strips you see in the newspaper, I'm pretty sure by this point The Simpsons is now just recycling old material from 20-30 years ago, with minor tweaks to the artwork and language.

I wonder why the print press is so surprised by this:

Of course Colbert & Stewart are bashing their employer. We'd be surprised if they didn't.

Here is the segment when Steve Kroft a former 60 Minutes correspondent appears on the Daily show to talk on the fallout over the settlement between Paramount and Trump Administration over a segment on 60 Minutes.

Rep. Robert Garcia has found an example of deceptive editing of the president done by Fox News. It had to do with the president discussing the Jeffrey Epstein case:

So there is one version that Fox News used during Fox & Friends, which is much shorter than the original interview. But as one who has edited interviews for a living, I can say both versions were edited.

John Stewart pointed that fox news interview out in his interview with Steve Croft. Good points made.
