Please STOP your personal political views. The other thread was closed for this very reason. It’s very unfortunate posters won’t stop. Very unfortunate. Charlie was a very very successful broadcaster and commentator and was publicly and violently murdered.just a reminder, we had another thread about the shooting before the news broke that he died, and it went off the rails pretty quick and it was locked, so before this one gets locked, i would like to voice my opinions about this tragedy, i don't feel sorry for Charlie and his supporters, but i do feel bad for his wife, kids and family as his radical political views is what got him killed in the first place. and also, political violence is not the answer to solving the issues of why we are divided and the way this country is heading is the same as it was when it was pre-civil war times where America was divided to the point, it caused a war, i see another civil war coming and it's happening in our lifetime now, and what worse was, this tragedy occurred on the eve of the 24th Anniversary of 9/11, a event that united our country for a small period of time but in a way, the terrorist that caused 9/11 won in the end cause our country is falling apart, and it's something they wanted right away when the attacks happened. everything wrong with the world's geopolitical system today can go back all the way to the events of 9/11 period or even further then that.
Comedy Central has pulled a recent "South Park" episode from its rotation in the wake of Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting.
Kirk, the founder of the conservative youth activist organization Turning Point USA, died Wednesday after he was shot during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
The "South Park" episode, a rerun featuring one of the show's main characters, Eric Cartman, parodying Kirk, was pulled from the network's scheduled rotation following Kirk's death.
The episode originally aired in early August and was scheduled for a rerun on Wednesday night.
...and this, in a nutshell, is what is wrong with this country today. It is apparently OK for people who don't "believe what I believe" to be murdered.i don't feel sorry for Charlie and his supporters
Nobody deserves to be killed for having different opinions from yours. That is the opposite of democracy and freedom of speech...., so before this one gets locked, i would like to voice my opinions about this tragedy, i don't feel sorry for Charlie and his supporters, but i do feel bad for his wife, kids and family as his radical political views is what got him killed in the first place.
There is a quote that I think might apply here. It has been falsely attributed to the French philosopher Voltaire, but it goes something like this: "I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it."Nobody deserves to be killed for having different opinions from yours. That is the opposite of democracy and freedom of speech.
"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that -- it does a lot of damage."Human compassion no longer exists.
Context? The complete quote:"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that -- it does a lot of damage."

Fact Check: Charlie Kirk once said empathy was 'made-up, new age term'
The authentic quote from the CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA circulated online following his fatal shooting on Sept. 10, 2025.uk.news.yahoo.com
He brought it up in the context of Bill Clinton's famous line "I feel your pain":Context? The complete quote:
I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage. But, it is very effective when it comes to politics. Sympathy, I prefer more than empathy. That's a separate topic for a different time.
He was making a semantec point, not suggesting that people not be kind to each other.
Modern conservatives see empathy as a weakness, not a virtue. His solution was to tell the person who's hurting, "you're not actually in pain."Charlie Kirk said:The new communications strategy is not to do what Bill Clinton used to do, where he would say, "I feel your pain." Instead, it is to say, "You're actually not in pain." So let's just, little, very short clip. Bill Clinton in the 1990s. It was all about empathy and sympathy.
I no nothing about this news source but, if true, it opens up a lot of questions about the FBI and the lack of coverage by the general media. I can't find anything about this on CNN's website.
That's fair. But hopefully this report will be looked into and confirmed or denied in the coming days. It's really not up to the media to report on things like this. In fact in the past, CNN itself has been sued by people when they've reported stories that are not confirmed. It's up to the FBI to follow up on tips. They will decide if they want to involve the media.
