KBBF has quite a history on the non-comm front. The station also broadcasts in several Mexican "first nations" languages .

KVON also has the odd distinction of being the only commercial AM in California that still broadcasts in stereo.

Also, to preempt any derailing: I'm not trying to get into the pros and cons, the what-ifs and the why-didn't-its of AM Stereo, like so many other threads seem to get hooked on when it gets mentioned (there's more appropriate places for that). I'm simply stating the fact that KVON 1440 happens to use it, and is the only station in California doing so.
