The Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame (BARHOF) welcomes its newest group of inductees. The BARHOF Class of 2025 will also be known as “BARHOF XX”, as this marks the twentieth group of annual inductees.
The following broadcasters were voted into BARHOF in balloting involving current BARHOF members as well as members in good standing of the California Historical Radio Society:
Program Host:

In addition, the following individuals are being inducted by decision of the Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame Board of Directors:
Pioneer:

Legacy Inductee:

George Snell

The 27 members of the Class of 2025 bring to 285 the total number enshrined in BARHOF since its inception in 2006.
BARHOF directors are also saluting two important individuals with “BARHOF Lifetime Achievement Awards”. David Ferrell Jackson founded the Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame, and Len Shapiro is the organization’s longtime Executive Director. Without the vision and efforts of both men, there would be no BARHOF.
In keeping with BARHOF tradition, a festive induction luncheon will be held on October 18, 2025. The luncheon, open to the public, will be held at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant at Oakland’s Jack London Square. Tickets may be purchased here.

One last photo---not mine, but from Chris Sharp, owner of the KFRC mobile studio (The Sturgeon):

I can't identify everyone, but maybe @Bay Radiohead can fill in where I've failed.

Left to right: (first two guys I need help with), Chris Sharp (kneeling in the gray shirt), Cammy Blackstone, Steve Rood (longtime Dr. Don Rose board engineer---in the light-colored coat), unknown, and unknown (kneeling), John Evans, Sue Hall, Marvelous Mark McKay, unknow, Dave Sholin, Kent Hedburg, and I'm lost on the rest until the tall guy on the right in the shades, Bryan Schaffer.

And okay, one more after that---the queens of San Francisco music radio---Renel Brooks-Moon, Sue Hall and Sylvia Chacon:

Additional notes for the Sturgeon photo---that's Brian Huen standing in front of Bryan Schaffer. And the tall man behind Cammy Blackstone is Michael Silvis, the late Rick Shaw's son. Here's the opposite angle:

It was my first BARHOF and what a beautiful event! Meeting people in people I've known for years via phone and online (looking at you, Mike Hagerty!) and reconnecting with old friends and colleagues was a real treat. It was an honor to be among so many legends of bay area radio.

Congratulations and thanks to Jona Denz-Hamilton for the invitation (and foconvincing me to make the long trip from Santa Rosa 🥴)!
