It seems like KNX gets a lot of critiques around here, so I thought I’d share something a little different. I spend quite a bit of time traveling to Los Angeles, and usually listen to KRTH or KNX when I’m in town. I must say, the traffic reports on KNX are fantastic. I find them to be very detailed, and provide much more than just the bare minimum. I really feel like that’s how traffic reports should be handled.
I pulled out my battery powered radio late last night from my apartment in Vancouver BC, and ended up landing on a crystal clear KNX. And yep! There was another solid traffic report with clear information about what was going on, and what to avoid.
As some may know, I’m from Seattle. KNWN 1000 does a pretty decent job of airing traffic (and local information) during the day, but there’s definitely a bit of a drop off around the nighttime hours. In Vancouver, the local newsradio station is decent, but not as good as KNX. So KNX gets a thumbs up from me.
