Dr. Phil's Merit Street Media company files for bankruptcy

Same thing- "TVDEALS" here on KTBW 20.2 also in 720p HD. Maybe they will move the HD bandwidth to another one of their channels as it seems a waste of space to carry infomercials in HD. Also noticed that they run in three hour blocks. KTBW has "ONTV4U" on their .4 channel so they are running two of these informercial channels.

Is it TBN deathwatch time? When you can make more from infomercials than your programming...

TBN may not necessary have chosen the infomercial programming, that may have been Merit Street. Considering the Merit Street Bankruptcy is still in limbo at an Appeals Court, TBN may still have obligations to carry whatever programming the bankrupt Merit Street joint venture decides in 720p. Whether that be a black screen or infomercials.

KOFY-TV 20.1 San Francisco changes from Merit TV to Esterella TV as of this posting.

I wish Dave Ramsey/Ramsey Solutions could have bought Merit Street and changed it to all-Ramsey (and the "Personalities" podcasts e.g., Rachel Cruze, Jade Warshaw) programming, highlighted by live broadcasts of "The Ramsey Show" daily from 1-4pm Central.

Maybe an exception to the all-Ramsey format could be reruns of various religious broadcasters (the legit ones) on Sunday mornings (e.g., reruns of Charles Stanley, Adrian Rogers, Billy Graham), plus live services from the church that Dave and Sharon Ramsey attend.
