Why not put the translator on Frenchman Mountain, home of that KAWZ 10 watt translator on 90.1 K211DC.
Looks like they have multiple transmitters. If I'm reading this correctly. The main translator TX is at the Strat where K268CS is relaying KDWN

Yes, they’re using the same VO guy from WZFL to make it sound epic…Just heard them say on air 'The Revolution is coming'.
Technically it's a booster - not a translator. Because it's on the same frequency as the main. But the answer to your question is likely because a booster cannot extend the reach of the main transmitter's protected contour. If you look at the coverage of KHYZ:Why not put the translator on Frenchman Mountain, home of that KAWZ 10 watt translator on 90.1 K211DC. it seems to be a great line of sight option on the east side of the valley. Last year I heard that 10 watt signal almost 50 miles away in Indian Springs! kinda surprised other stations don't move there too, seems like a better central location vs Black Mountain or Potosi where almost all other Vegas signals are...
From my understanding they and the other stations commonly reffered to as being on the Strat aren't actually on the main tower. Which explains why certain areas in the valley struggle. And yea, the Strat is another great central location for broadcasting within the Valley, well of course, its not really that great outside LV once you go behind the mountains in every direction.
The VO guy also noted that the Dance format will be taken to another level…
That's not true. All of the translators and boosters on the Strat are at or near the top of the concrete part of the Strat tower up above the observation decks and restaurant. They're not all the way at the top of the steel tower that holds the drop ride. From my understanding they and the other stations commonly reffered to as being on the Strat aren't actually on the main tower. Where the problem comes in is that the Strat, tall as it is, doesn't sit on particularly high ground in the valley. There's a lot of shadowing, not just into Henderson but into areas north and NW of downtown, too.
Also worth mentioning that this move seems to come ahead of EDC scheduled for May 15-17 (2026), so they must be planning something.Interesting. I actually heard some straight up drum and bass one evening. I wonder if they're gonna go that way or the Hard House route
Which suggests that the on air change may happen before thenAlso worth mentioning that this move seems to come ahead of EDC scheduled for May 15-17 (2026), so they must be planning something.
The Revolution is indeed coming…

I’m scratching my head over that one.Vegas to Los Angeles? Unless it covers further than the coverage map indicates, it presents zero signal into L.A. Doesn't even get to Victorville
