‘El Show de Omar y Argelia’ Returns To L.A. On ‘Mega 96.3’ KXOL.

I have to wonder how many places SBS will actually syndicate the show to, since there aren't a lot of Spanish ACs in mostly Mexican markets, and those that exist are owned by Univision or Entravision (the Entravision ones already carry a popular morning show of their own, Alex "El Genio" Lucas).

SBS's only ACs are in New York, Miami, and Puerto Rico, not exactly O&A's audience.

Why did Omar y Agelia not get resigned by KLVE? They seemed to have good numbers?
My impression is that they wanted to more time to be with their family. Somehow SBS convinced them to un-retire, I guess.

This sort of thing happens a lot. I'm posting this the same day Tom Brady backtracked on his retirement from football...

They are building them a home studio.

This was not backtracking. The couple knew what they wanted and held out until they got it.

Remember, in 18-49 they were frequently the #1 show in LA.

Was Univision not allowing them to work from a home studio? Seems like this is a pretty reasonable ask, considering Howard Stern is likely never going back to his New York studio and Bean Baxter broadcast for years from Seattle?

If the duo got a great contract and are able to work remotely, good for them. Will the KXOL audience embrace them? Who knows..

They announced that the first show will be Monday, March 28, but oddly enough, no format change as DE thought would happen.

You'd think that with such a game-changer, there would be a big rebrand around it.
