‘Hannibal’ Canceled by NBC; Executive Producer Teases Possible Life Extension

I hope the Mormons are happy.

NBC will not be ordering another course of “Hannibal.” The network has canceled the drama, which is currently in its third season.

DeLaurentiis Co., however, later tweeted some hope for the show’s “Fannibals”: that the show may find a second life with another partner.

“#Hannibal was always in danger of cancellation due to subject matter, and others have expressed interest in partnering with us,” the company wrote.

Wondering how Hannibal would've been received if it was on HBO, AMC or Netflix? "Greatest Drama Ever!"

I was surprised when I saw its low ratings. I was under the impression it was popular.

But I recently took on the responsibility of listing the ratings of the five English-language broadcast networks whose Nielsen ratings are shown in USA Today for a web site where someone else had been doing it. Now I see how popular every show on that list is.

My wife and I liked the first 2 seasons. We quit watching this season after the second episode, Something or someone changed. I'm guessing that is why the ratings dropped. Most of our friends quit at the same time.

I've watched all the Anthony Hopkins movies because he was so good, but I never gave this series a chance because it is so violent.
