‘Herman’s Head’ co-creator Steve Kreinberg dies at 73

Steve Kreinberg, a producer and TV screenwriter who penned scripts for the likes of legendary actors Robin Williams and Carroll O’Connor, before creating the Fox sitcom “Herman’s Head,” is dead at 73.

His wife, Robin Baskin, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday that he passed away March 30 while battling diabetes and other illnesses.

Kreinberg got his big showbiz break writing the 1978 episode “Florence’s Union” for “The Jeffersons." That led to other TV writing gigs, including “Me and Maxx,” “Mork & Mindy” and “Archie Bunker’s Place.”
