‘Unruly’ Channel 7 (WHDH) manager arrested after flight tiff

Just heard this on the radio...funny, last night they mentioned that a 7 staffer ran the Marathon, but I didn't hear them mention this arrest.

I also never heard them refer to Jeff Derderian as "Former 7 News reporter Jeff Derderian....."

hmmmmmmm.....
 
Naturally, there's not enough information in the story to really tell what took place. Ms. Goldklank's story sounds really strange and unlikely. Not to say that a lot of men aren't pigs, but it sure seems like there's something missing. Clearly, there was more to this than what's stated here. Perhaps there was some flirty conversation first - which isn't stated. Or something more. Not that it would make such behavior right, of course.

It's just hard to imagine that some random guy would sit down next to her on such a short flight and start doing that. Unless he wanted to be busted and sent to jail. And, if that's what happened, where's the offender? Surely they'd grab him - wouldn't they? Yet she is the one to be hauled off in cuffs. It's just all very odd, that's all. There's more to this than is being reported. Which could easily lead to a conversation about how the media control information pretty tightly sometimes....

Either way, it's too bad that this has come up; based on the picture in the article, she's an attractive lady.

reportedly, she's been having a hard time dealing with her mother's passing recenly. she told emt's that she's on anti-depressants. and if she was drinking while on mood-altering meds, you can probably draw your own conclusions. everybody deals with grief differently. some people have a very hard time. others just can't.

also, i'd like to see a closed-circuit video of the incident at logan. i bet we won't. state police and massport are never releasing that tape. that's for sure. it's not like we've never heard of any incidents of cops using excessive force against unruly passengers at airpors which resulted in fatalities. it's like cops never fudge incident reports to make themselves loook good. no way.

and hack writers like howie carr and jessica heslam are there to sell a story, not tell you the truth.

cut the woman some slack.

ok, i give you that - she made up the guy on the plane story probably because she knew the poop was coming upstream and this was going to be spun against her and ch.7 by the cops, print media and rival stations. grandted, huge mistake on her part for feeding this to the herald, even if it did happen. but you don't have any details of what went down on the plane or at the airport or have any info as to what state of mind she was in before, during and after the flight. when you have four cops over six feet tall, weighing 200 lbs(their shadow alone weighs 20 lbs) with weapons mandhandling supposedly inchorent, drunk of out of her mind, can't stand on her feet, 5-2 frame lady who they claim in their report was punching them out, you definitely don't have a full story.

also, i fly for business 3 or 4 times a month and see firsthand why the airline industry has developed such a bad rep. some of those flight attendants belong on wwe shows. some, not all, are the meanest, rudest and nastiest people you come across in your life. not defending ch.7 gm, but saying she could've been provoked. again, we don't have the real story with all the details.

where are the witnesses who were at the airport that night and saw the incident? where is the passengers from the delta flight she was on? where's the tape which massport is not releasing?
 
Seems many are defending her by thinking officials actually knew who she was and was somehow being treated unfairly.

According to reports, only after the incident was coming down, she pulled the
"Don't you know who the (beep)I am????"
"I'm going to expose you (beepers) on TV."

Nobody on the plane knew who was is, they just knew they had a wacko on their hands.

There is a lady on board who doesn't know who she is! ;D

What the heck kind of last name is Goldklank? No wonder the coppers thought she was lying with that kind of name, it sounds completely pulled from a comic book.

boston pravda doesn't have many hacks left. they all took buyouts or moved for jobs overseas.

doesn't matter. no one will remember her or talk about this incident in a week.

ask any boston tv viewer under 40 who bob gamere was or/and about his little 3am 'incident'
at the fens some 20 years ago and see what kind of responses you get.
