“Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz”

Not sure if this post belongs under smooth jazz, but it's jazz. Anybody here remember 'Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz' radio program? It was around for 40 years and she interviewed so many wonderful pianists. I used to listen to her in NYC on the weekends. She did a legendary interview with Bill Evans. Anyway, she just died. Was 95.

Oh, yes. I remember Marion McPartland's Piano jazz very well. I haven't heard it in years and often wondered if she was still doing the show. Although Piano jazz was primarily an NPR program, Piano Jazz was also heard on select commercial radio stations such as WOSO-AM 1030 San Juan, Puerto Rico and WLOQ-FM 103.1 Orlando, Florida. Marion McPartland and Marion McPartland's Piano Jazz will be missed.
