What format do you think is broadcasting on that dial number?? I keep thinking Caribbean. There is a pirate on 107.9 here in Midwood Brooklyn.
Since it is technically a change of frequency for the 106.3 translator, I would expect that it will be the existing Spanish-language religious format carried by WJDM/1520, as that is what appears in the FCC database as the originating station. What format would be on 107.9?
I doubt it. The translator would eventually be sold and the new owner can pick another originating station. It’ll most likely be another HD2. Translators are effectively low power commercial stations because they can translate an HD2. Since so few people have HD radios, it’s effectively a new stationSince it is technically a change of frequency for the 106.3 translator, I would expect that it will be the existing Spanish-language religious format carried by WJDM/1520, as that is what appears in the FCC database as the originating station.
Has the reception changed for Connecticut's WEBE-FM 107.9? They were side mounted on the United Illuminating striped smokestack in Bridgeport for years. I think they're coming from Trumbull, CT these days.
All I am saying is that until they file a change of originating station (which becomes part of the license) we have to presume status quo.I doubt it. The translator would eventually be sold and the new owner can pick another originating station.
I can sometimes get WEBE's HD signal to lock on even in areas where their analog signal is inaudible. It has been at least 10-15 years since I have been able to pick up WEBE in northern NJ. There are so many pirates on 107.9 these days.
Me too … their HD covers all the way down to Southeastern Nassau County.I can sometimes get WEBE's HD signal to lock on even in areas where their analog signal is inaudible.
Right now it's dead air and radio-locator has it linked to WBLS which coincidentally has dead air on it's HD2 channel.W300EI has supposedly resumed operations. Anyone know what’s on the 107.9 translator or if it’s even on the air yet?
The resumption of operations is for the 106.3 facility via STA running one watt. A license to cover for the move to 107.9 has not yet been filed. Had W292DV not resumed operations before May 1, its license would have expired.W300EI has supposedly resumed operations. Anyone know what’s on the 107.9 translator or if it’s even on the air yet?
The CP for 107.9 has 1530 WJDM as its parent signal and the STA notes it will rebroadcast 1310 WXMC. While that can be changed with a quick FCC filing, I am not sure where Radio-Locator is getting WBLS from. But based on the people involved in the stations, I'd expect Radio Zindagi on 107.9 when it does launch.Right now it's dead air and radio-locator has it linked to WBLS which coincidentally has dead air on it's HD2 channel.
I would politely suggest that radio-locator is not the most accurate source of information.Right now it's dead air and radio-locator has it linked to WBLS which coincidentally has dead air on it's HD2 channel.
